Gotz was the name of the company’s founders, Franz and Marianne Gotz. Their dolls were handcrafted and created in Germany. For over 50 years Gotz has been producing dolls that are designed especially for little ones. They pride themselves on the fact that their dolls are easy to care for. Their dolls will open the doors of imagination and are designed to encourage pretend play. Unfortunately, in the spring of 2004, Gotz closed their German factory.
