She’s Like Me Katie A Tea Party made by The Family Company from the series in 1999. She has brunette hair and blue stationary eyes.  She is wearing a pretty pink and white dress with satin ribbon and silk ribbon flowers, pink beaded necklace and bracelet. Also included in this set is the book titled A Tea Party Manners, bear, purse, wrist tag. She was designed for ages 6 and up.

The dolls started as “It’s Me” dolls that girls could relate to and then their name was changed to “She’s Like Me.” Each doll, priced between $40.00 and $50.00 came with a 36-page hardcover book of original stories, poems and songs. The 1998 series included: Responsibility, Trust, Friendship, Loyalty, Wisdom, Confidence, Courage and Creativity. In 1999, the series included: Faith, Sharing, Love, Unity, Joyfulness, Discovery, Patience, and Sportsmanship. In 2000, the series included: Tradition, Manners, and Curiosity.
The founder of the The Family Company is David Lewis and it’s president is his wife Patti Lewis. In her 15 years in the industry, Patti Lewis served as CEO/President of Alexander Doll Company, created toy divisions for girls at Tyco and Tonka and oversaw Masters of the Universe and Barbie lines at Mattel. She wanted to design a line of contemporary girl dolls that were more realistic than Barbie and more affordable than other collector dolls.
