Ashton Drake Gene Tea Time at the Plaza
The Gene were designed by Mel Odom for Ashton Drake. The dolls are about 15-1/2 inches tall and all vinyl with joints at the neck, arms, and legs. This Gene doll has blonde hair pulled up and styled in an exquisite twist. She has blue eyes made up with lavender eye shadow and delicate eyelashes. Tea Time at the Plaza is from the 1999 FAO Schwarz collection and was designed by Lynne Day. She is Circa 1943. Gene looks lovely in her Tea Time at the Plaza outfit. The navy tailored dress has buttons down the front and white cord trim around the collar, shoulders and mock pockets. There is a navy buckled belt at her waist. To complete her outfit is a blue headband hat with blue and white satin ribbons, blue and white pumps and stud earrings. We purchased a large Gene Collection from an adult collector and are listing the items as used and as found as we are not the original owners. They are all in very good condition. We are not sure what items originally came with each doll or set to know if they are complete or not. The pictures are of the actual doll or outfit you will receive so if you see something missing in the picture, it is in fact missing. The dolls all have their stands, but do not come with their boxes or COA’s, and they will be very carefully packed.
