Tonner Effanbee Toni Little Miss Swiss
The first Toni dolls were made in the 1950’s by American Character. Thankfully, In 2005, Robert Tonner re-introduced the reproduction Toni with amazing outfits, some original and some designed by him. Toni is about 13.5 inches tall with an all vinyl body that is jointed at the neck, arms, and legs. This listing is for Toni dressed in the Little Miss Swiss outfit. The popular dress is a reproduction of one made for the earlier Toni dolls. It is a red Dress with a full skirt. The top is white with puffy sleeves and a ruffled neck, and is trimmed with red rick rack and black trim with a floral print with lace border. She also wears white socks and black Mary Janes that have center snaps. She was purchased from the estate of an adult collector, and it appears that someone who was not knowledgeable of dolls may have mixed and matched a little bit. I believe this doll is either American Beauty or First Dance by the hair style. The hair net is still in place over the curls in the back. Toni has blonde hair and blue open close eyes. She is in very good condition and comes to you as pictured in a Toni box with no label, with her wrist tag and gold metal tag.
