Virginia Turner

Virginia Turner started her doll making career in 1981 with porcelain dolls. Her shop was in the basement of her home in Indiana. After attending a sculpting seminar, Virginia decided to try sculpting herself. She credits divine inspiration in keeping her going. One Sunday afternoon she started wondering if she should even stay in the doll business. After some quiet time in prayer, she decided to try again. When she was finished, she proudly came out with a sweet toddler doll that had two teeth. That doll turned out to be Jeannie, her first original porcelain doll. In 1991, she started making her dolls in vinyl and has made a wonderful name for herself and given us many beautiful dolls! The Virginia Turner dolls were made in the U.S., and unfortunately she is in the process of retiring.
